February 2026 Show Report

The February 2026 edition of the INDX National Kidswear Show (running alongside the now-integral National Kids Footwear Show) solidified its position as the UK’s primary hub for childrenswear retailers.

Against a backdrop of economic caution, the show floor at Cranmore Park remained buoyant, characterised by a business-first atmosphere.

With over 120 brands exhibiting, including major debuts from the Bestseller group (Jack & Jones Junior, NAME IT) and luxury icons like Guess Kids, the two-day event showcased a strategic shift toward value-driven quality and circular fashion models.

Key Trends & Exhibitor Highlights

The AW26 collections revealed a move away from disposable fashion, favoring durability and timeless aesthetics.

  • Sustainability: No longer a niche marketing term but a baseline requirement. Brands like Frugi and Ducky Zebra led the way with GOTS-certified organics, while many others showcased recycled materials and GRS-certified outerwear.

  • The Footwear Fusion: The co-location with the Kids Footwear Show has transformed the buying experience. Retailers praised the ability to source complete head-to-toe looks, with brands like Prenta, Froddo, Lelli Kelly, Start Rite, and Geox reporting strong order books for school and occasion wear.

  • Heritage & Mini-Me: Traditional styling remains a powerhouse for the UK market. Exhibitors like Emile et Rose and Beau Kid saw high demand for classic babywear, while "mini-me" styles - mirroring adult fashion trends -dominated the older kids' segments.

  • Agency Focus: This season placed a special spotlight on kids' fashion agencies (e.g. Brand Stable, The Willows Agency, EGA, and Weldon Agencies), highlighting their role as vital intermediaries helping independent boutiques navigate global supply chains.

  • Daily Trend Presentations: Leading trend consultant Fiona Coleman brought 3 key seasonal themes to life with product picks hand-selected from across the show floor. Supported by a trend display area at the entrance to the show.

  • Meet the Experts Zone: Manned by our panel of experts; Fiona Coleman, Nicole Perring (The Nest), and representatives from The Footwear Hub, attendees took full advantage of this exclusive opportunity to seek advice, support and insight on trends, sustainability and children's foot health.

  • Networking Social: Hosted by event organisers AIS to celebrate their 50 year anniversary, exhibitors and visitors attended the Sunday night social at The Loft. An informal and relaxed opportunity to get together with drinks, and live music.
