Buoyant Builds Momentum
Buoyant Upholstery has emerged from the first half of this year on a high, reporting an exceptionally positive response to the newly released collections and reinforcing its ever-growing momentum across both of its domestic and imported upholstery categories. Buoyant will be bringing their collections to the upcoming INDX Furniture show, 26*-27 August 2026.
At the beginning of the year Buoyant launched 13 new imported leather and recliner models developed under their ‘Prestige Collections’ banner. The collection comprised five of Buoyant’s established best-selling designs reimagined in leather, alongside eight brand-new recliner models (available in both leather and fabric) co-developed specifically for the UK market.
Their new models showcase the benefits of Buoyant’s Prestige collection, combining contemporary styling, competitive price points and innovative feature-led design, which will all be supported by UK-held stock and established service levels.
The reimagined Buoyant fabric bestsellers have attracted strong interest, with many welcoming the opportunity to offer familiar, proven silhouettes in leather. Meanwhile, the eight new recliners, designed to meet current UK consumer expectations around comfort, functionality and aesthetics offer a breadth of choice and commercial appeal.
Alongside the imported launches, Buoyant also highlighted new developments within its Ashley Manor range, which will play a key role in the company’s British-made upholstery portfolio. The positive reaction to these models reinforced Buoyant’s strategy of balancing UK manufacturing growth with carefully selected imported categories.
Buoyant have seen a steady flow of independent retailers and larger national accounts, some of whom are engaging with the brand for the first time. According to Buoyant, the ability to offer leather and recliner collections without the need for full-container commitments resonates strongly with the independent sector.
Our aim has always been to make doing business with Buoyant straightforward and rewarding," added Managing Director Mike Aramayo. “The feedback we received showed that customers appreciate the direction we’re taking, with more choice, faster development, and a clear focus on value and service.
Buoyant heads into the second half of the year well positioned and believes the success of the new launches not only validates their Prestige and Ashley Manor collections but also signals Buoyant’s growing confidence and capability in the leather and motion market.
